Synopsis
If you had to pick two things you wanted - if you had to - what would you pick? I hesitated. This was a bigger question than usually got asked at these post-match debriefs. 'I suppose the honest answer would be,' I said, still accessing the last pieces of required data from a jumbled mind, 'meeting my soul mate, and finding an idyllic house abroad somewhere...' Inspired by breathtaking views and romantically dreaming of finding love in the mountains, Tony Hawks impulsively buys an idyllic house in the French Pyrenees.
I loved this book! The first 100 pages or so really made me laugh out loud - the house in France is just the start. Defo have a read especially if you've read and enjoyed any of Hawks' other books!!!

This arrived yesterday- thank you so much ekranda! I'm really looking foward to reading but unfortunately I'm not sure when that will be as I seem to have book rings arriving daily & another pile of "urgent reads" waiting!
But, fear not, it WILL be read, & then will travel the short distance to Gothmarcus as promised.
THANK YOU!!!

I didn't laugh out loud while reading this (unlike when I was reading "Round Ireland with a fridge" but I certainly sniggered a few times!
As always, life is never straightforward for Tony...from the hiring of a van to the digging of a swimming pool...nothing goes according to plan....but it does make for some good, amusing reading!
I'm sending this on to Gothmarcus....happy reading!

What an amiable, harmless man Tony Hawks is. Everyone in the French village he bought his house in likes him, he has some mishaps and it works out OK in the end. Am I being cynical?! Quite fun, not taxing and, actually, a reminder of how funny Tony Hawks can be.
