This is actually the first thing I've read by Charles Dickens. At first I was a bit enthralled with his writing, but that seemed to wear off and I found parts of it a little tedious. I then read about half of the second story in the book, A Christmas Tree, and could not stay interested at all. I skipped the rest of the book.

I think this book was one of the first to make me really understand that we could access the past through old stories and literature. I think I read it during "free reading" time in around 6th grade.
This book was in the traveling Christmas Book Box for the 3rd Annual Round (https://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/20/576261) and I have decided to keep this one for release into my Little Free Library for Christmas in July or actual Christmas. Before releasing it, I might reread this myself since it's been many years!
