A gorgeous, slow-burning story set in the wild terrain of northern Ontario, Canada, where heartbreak and hardship are mirrored in the landscape.
A wonderful little book.

Releasing in trade to pinklady60, enjoy!
Lginder sent this to me as an extra book in part of a trade she requested.
I first heard about this book on DearReader.com, a website that sends readers a short excerpt of a book every day for a week. It sounded like my type of book and I enjoyed the style of writing in the first chapter or so. Seeing lginder's comments and rating peaks my interest further.
Thanks for thinking of me!

Four children living in northern Ontario struggle to stay together after their parents die in an auto accident. The descriptions of the difficulties that the Morrisons face are real, painful, humorous, and agonizing. Themes of family dynamics, loyalty and sacrifice weave back and forth between past and present. A delightful new author.
