I saw the TV mini-series that wsa based on this book many years ago. I always remembered vaguely what it was about but not what the name of it was. I was so pleased when I spotted the book on Amazon. It arrived yesterday and I plan on reading it very soon. Once I've read it, it will go into my Permanent Collection.

I've just finished reading this book, it was unputdownable. It was a harrowing read though. It was heartbreaking to read what the young Steven Stayner went through for the seven years he was a kidnap victim, and then to read that just a few years after his death he'd been killed in an accident. It was very shocking to then read in the updated chaptor at the end that Steven's brother Cary turned out to be the Yosemite serial killer. My heart just goes out to the Stayner family.

I'm putting this book in my Permanent Collection.
