Charming.
I had always wanted to read something by D.H.Lawrence. This was what I found. It is a romantic, frustrating, hopeful book.

I wanted to read this book again before I let it go so now I've just finished it.
This book was a much better 2nd read for me than my first time at it. Whether it was my preparedness for the subject matter & dramatic abrubt ending or a change in perspective over the years since my first reading, my rating of this book has changed from worthwhile to quite enjoyable.
I was tempted to keep it a bit longer for a third go-round, but I have so many other books waiting to be read that giving it away seemed best. Besides, books worth reading again always seem to find their own way back into my life!

I've never read this book. So when I found it at Sleepers In Seattle I had to catch it. It looks like it was released at Providence Mt. St. Vincent, but I found it at Sleepers In Seattle so go figure. I'll try and give it a quick read through and re-release it. I think it would like the scenic tour of West Seattle so I will release it nearby.
The book is dated, but lovely. You'll smile when you read about the scandals. Divorce!! A Jew!! The rector's daughter is passionate about a gypsy man--imagine!! Of course D. H. Lawrence's writing is timeless. Well worth a read.

Release planned for Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at BookCrossing Meetup @ Uptown Espresso Tues evening in Seattle, Washington USA.
Bringing this one along to the Meetup this Tuesday evening, 7 PM at Uptown Espresso. Books not caught at the Meetup will be distributed around the coffeehouse, so there will probably be a good selection there the next day. Only, of course, if you REALLY can't make it to the Meetup

I picked this up from my friend alsomama at the meetup last night. I am looking forward to reading it and passing it on...
