The Eyre Affair
4 journalers for this copy...
the 1st Thursday Next book
I'd heard great things about this series and I was not disappointed. I loved the literary references, the crazy "history," and the all-round zaniness of the book. Not to mention the dodos!
I first read this book through a book ring organized by LGinder. I've since procured my own copy - this copy, however, I requested through BookMooch specifically to send to zzz. I remember him saying that he hadn't read the books and since they are such fun literary mysteries I just had to make him give them a try.
With permission from chich (the lovely BCer who sent me two of my Thursday Next paperbacks), I stole a little journal entry trick to bring you the walking, talking Pickwick.
My M-Bag #2 has arrived!!!
Morsie thank you so much for make it possible and for Fforde's books!!!
I can't believe that you remembered our conversation about him!
Hugs!

I've finally read this book and I loved it! it was perfect choice for my very LOOONG trip to Kathmandu, Nepal cause I had to wait in Dubai airport for 14 hours. Thursday Next was such a perfect companion.
I so didn't expect anything like this. So Monthy Pitonish! Amazing idea and I'm looking forward to continue with her story (I have sequel here in Kathmandu (where I am at the moment) with me).

My travel buddy was reading this in Nepal when I wiki'ed the other and synopsis of the book. I admit I was pretty skeptical about bringing it along with me, having disliked the overview and thought it to be a bit of a cheesy and convoluted read. Suffice to say I was pleasantly surprised how immediately intrigued I was by Fforde's writing!
