The Amulet of Samarkand (Bartimaeus Trilogy)
4 journalers for this copy...
This is a replacement for the two books colebear sent which got lost in the post.
This is a great adventure story told from two perspectives - that of Nathaniel the apprentice to a magician and that of Bartimaeus, a 5000-year old djinni.
There is a lot of humour in the book and I particularly like the footnotes.
This will now be offered to the next person on colebear's bookring.

This is a relacement book for the ring I started over here, which appears to be lost in the mail. I found this copy second hand and will send it to England this week.
Basic Guidelines (cobbled together from the many out there)
1. As soon as you receive the book, journal it and PM the next person for an address. If they don't respond let me know, and we'll work something out.
2. If you've been asked for an address, but you're unable to accept the book, please let the person before you know, and also notify me.. We may be able to shift the order around so that you can receive the book when you have more time for it.
3. If you are unable to keep the book moving within 4 weeks, please notify me. I understand that life happens, just please keep me in the loop.
4. Journal your thoughts, impressions about the book and send it on its way.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book of the series, because some things are left unanswered here...

This arrived some time ago. I'm sorry I didn't journal it earlier. I'm glad to see it that it was able to complete its journey and I'll be setting it free with in the next week.
I want to thank everyone for making this a successful ring and special thanks to juliako who purchased this replacement for the two books that were lost in the mail.
