good read, though not my favorite hiaasen book. plan on taking it to chapman house sometime this week. can't wait to see where it goes from there:)

Caught last night at the BC meetup at Benjie's.

Carl Hiaasen never disappoints me with his books. Got to reading this and they're talking about VHS tapes, etc. and then I flipped to the front of the book and found out it was originally published in 1987. The cast of characters was unique - loved Skink, well until he roasted Bambi (even a yappy poodle doesn't deserve that!). I've read another book where a dog head is stuck onto a bad guys arm with the same results ... thinking maybe Christopher Moore?. Overall a fun little mystery.
