This book never really did much for me, but I'd like to read it again before passing it on.
Okay, so as an adult I appreciated this book more. And it helps that I'm not being forced to read it in French (although I'd like to again now).
It's kind of a sweet moral story, with lots of 'don't lose your inner child' advice. The most interesting part for me though, was reading the note about the author at the back. That's a biography that'd be interesting to read.
Reserved for someone on a book relay.

Relay book going by slow-boat to geishabird.
Thanks very much! I've always wanted to read this...
I found myself very moved by this little book - I will even admit to some tears in my eyes at the end. It's a wistful achy kind of story - through the prince's eyes, the universe is so beautifully simple. Why are we constantly complicating it with our matters of consequence?
Put me in mind of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, another small quiet book that leaves a lump in my throat. I won't apologize for being a closet idealist. :)
Thank you for sharing this.
