This is a happy day! I got three Mrs. Pollifax books today! Thank you, Surmisez for the surprise! Well I have two bookring books to read through first, but after that I'll say hello to Mrs. Pollifax.

Oh my, Mrs Pollifax has been hiding under the book piles for far too many years! It is so nice to meet her again! I don't understand how anybody can risk his or her life for CIA which to me represents a bunch of bad guys in the political world.
Anyway I love Mrs. Pollifax. It is very refreshing to have a female and elderly protagonist, who is resourceful, inventive and brave like nobody else.

I've only read one Mrs Polifax before and that plot had more twists and turns than I could count. Mrs Polifax was a real McGyver well before McGyver was even born...
I'm also always happy to see a book which has been on the road for a long time, even if eleven and a half years were spent hiding in Annelis's book piles. My 9th bookiversary was in the beginning of this month, so I can't have as old BC-books hiding, but I ought to make an inventory and read & release some of the oldies.

Speaking of my 9th Bookiversary - I hold a RABCK back then (in February) and promised to send the winner nine books over a period of nine months. Mrs. Pollifax would be perfect for that purpose as I try to pick a bit different kinds of books to the winner. Have to read this first and of course make sure she has not had this already. So Mrs. Pollifax might fly over the ocean once again.
This Janko is infuriating! He should be hit on the head with a handbag, often! I'm glad I'm not in secret service...Edit 9/2019: ...or am I? I found a box of bullets when going through stuff in my kitchen! Old lace is there, too, only arsenic is missing. (Pic).
A fast read. Mrs Pollifax is a tuff cookie.

Thank you for the book and I appreciate the wide selection too. I have heard of the series but I don't think I have read any Mrs Pollifax. I am very glad to meet her. She sounds like a tough cookie.
A lovely introduction to the fun series. Never read a cozy spy novel before. It was a quick fun diversion. I enjoyed the book.
