I BOUGHT THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON.CO.UK. I have wanted to read this book for a long time now as I like everything I have ever read by Tom Wolfe. This subject matter of this book, the early days of the space program, is also interesting to me.
I am not sure yet whether this will be available for trade or not, certainly it may be a while before I read it.

Well, I am absolutely staggered that I bought this book in 2003 and only now have I got around to reading it!!
I was inspired to pick up this book at long last after a conversation I had on Last.fm with another Tom Wolfe fan who had just finished it. I decided this was a sign from above that the time had come to read The Right Stuff. I wish I could say I enjoyed it more... parts of the book were very interesting, and the writing is undoubtedly virtuoso, but I could not loop myself into the machismo of it all. Without question this book is a snapshot in time of a group of very highly motivated individuals. But on balance, it was not for me.
I will release this book into the wild for someone else to find. I hope whoever discovers the book in the future enjoys it - it would be great if you could make a journal entry here to let myself (and future readers) know what you think.
