More than a Romance, more than a fantasy - I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! (I did watch the movie but long enough ago that all I remember is that I liked it, so I can't compare.)

I picked this up at the BookCrossing/Gaming meeting today. Thanks for sharing this. This may easily be pushed up to the top of my TBR list.

I am reserving this for darsbooks, next, as she expressed interesting in reading it.

Like cherylllr, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Admittedly, this book was one of the reasons for lack of sleep over the weekend! :)

I liked the prose and it reminded me of the prose that R. Dahl writes in, but this is definitely more adult. The character development was strong enough for me to feel real empathy, which I usually don't find in some women's literature or "chick lit".

Time moves in interesting leaps, which is considered "bad" by several writing instructors, yet Hoffman carries it off with grace. I never felt that I lost anything between the time periods that are not covered in the characters' lives.

Thanks for sharing this. I am reserving for darsbooks, then for someone else who has expressed an interest in reading this.
