Perhaps it isn't fair to give the book such a low rating, as I never finished it. The narrator's tone really irritated me and, after skimming the book, I decided I didn't want to read the whole thing. I was a bit disappointed, because I had heard many good things about the Nanny Diaries - but it just wasn't my kind of book. Someone else may love it. (In fact, many people have.)
