A great read about the uncommon friendship betweeen Amir the son of a wealthy Kabul merchant and Hassan his servant and constant companion a Hazzara a despised and impoverished caste.

An excellent story, great characters, hard to put down. Very sad at times, and highlights the tragedy of the situation in Afghanistan.
