Pulled out of the X Chromosome Bookbox.
A good family story. The girl’s mother was a real piece of work. I like that the author didn’t make the father a saint, just a father who loved his daughter too much to let her social-climbing mother drag her around the world while she bounced from husband to husband and dumped the child with nannies. (Can you tell that I disliked the mother?)
At the moment, I have no plans for the book. I might save it for the next round of my First Sentences Virtual Bookbox, since it has a great first sentence.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
In the first batch of books I released in my brand new Little Free Library.
The book wasn’t going anywhere, so I took it out of my Little Free Library for my First Sentences Virtual Bookbox. It’s now on its way to Icila in France.
And the book is now with me in France. Thank you collectorkerri !
