I listened to "1st to Die" on CD on a roadtrip once and didn't want to stop to even go to the bathroom. So, I'm really looking forward to this one.
I happen to like this new story line of Patterson's. We listened to First to Die on CD on a trip and my entire family, including my 13 year old, was hooked. So, when this book came out in paper, it went into the Costco shopping basket. It is the story of a group of friends, all of whom have connections to the SF Police Department and the heroine of the story, Lindsay Boxer, newly promoted after cracking the case outlined in First to Die. The friends, with their areas of expertise, help Lindsay to solve the crimes. This book's crimes were pretty awful, but the story line kept me guessing until literally the end. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you're wrong. However, if I CAN guess the murderer, I hate the book and never read the author again. I love being outwitted!!!
going to piper1, another bookcrosser.
Just received in the mail from quinnsmom as a trade. Thanks, quinnsmom!! Will read and pass along.
This book continues the story of the characters in 1st to Die, the Women's Murder Club. They're hot on the trail of a serial murderer. At first it looks like racial violence, but Lindsay figures out it's much more personal than that.
A good thriller. Keeps you guessing. It's available for trade or RABCK. I also have 1st to Die, some lucky person can have them both.
