Synopsis
Deputy Chief Virginia West has a mood to match the heat in the city of Charlotte. Another out-of-town businessman has been found murdered in his hire car, a wise-ass detective has taken her parking slot, the new police headquarters still resembles a construction site and her boss is telling her to go out on patrol as escort to Andy Brazil, a rookie reporter on the local paper.

Picked up the book at tonight's meet-up at Hadley's in Hamburg, thanks dschinny!
Until page 60 I couldn't really get into that story, and in addition I had slight problems to understand the colloquial English. Maybe I would have been habituated until the end of the book, but I didn't want to test that! :-)Read for the Bergabbau-Challenge with subject of march: Read at least one book with an item of flora or fauna in its title.
This book will travel to Lisbon together with me on 23th of april 2009. I'll release it somewhere there, and I hope that there will be somebody who will write a journal entry for this book. :-)
