Didn't have the time to read it... perhaps you will.
I've only just started. My first impressions are: that this is a well written book, and deviates in interesting ways from the cliches that are normally found in such adventure/fantasy books. And, at the same time it works well because it sticks to certain conventions. So, the reader isn't disappointed, but is also surprised. I am slightly irritated, though, that the author keeps jumping from character to character, probably because I am interested in finding the outcomes for certain situations, and I don't want to wait...!
