This was a birthday book from the very thoughtful Celticstar, and I've used a book label that Tehuti gave me for my NSSVS.

Borrowed from Suedo and liked, so I have borrowed the next 2.. Returned to Suedo on Saturday.
going back in my PC
I've read the whole series now, and not sure if it is really a keeper, so sending it off to the 'weebly' families to see if any of them would like to read the whole series, and give me time to decide if I want to keep it.

I really enjoyed this book, and the concept of people (wardens) who could influence fire, weather and the earth in an effort to try and make it less dangerous for people. It includes the idea that there are consequences to your actions, and that the power can corrupt. Then add in Djinns who can magnify your power, but who are tied to a warden. Then add in demons and you have the whole basis. This is the first story in a series about weather warden Joanne Baldwin who is introduced to us running for her life, with a major storm on her tail.

This was a really fun read, just what I needed for the first few days of my holiday. It's a while since I've read any fantasy that is just enjoying its world and what the characters can do in it. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series now.
Once I've read them all I'll pass the series on to somebody else all together, so if you're interested, let me know.
