Murder in the Marais (Aimee Leduc Investigation)

If you know Paris, then much of this will resonate in a special way because you can visualize where you are. I picked this book up at a Barnes and Noble in NYC because I had run out of books while visiting my daughter... and I felt like finding a good mystery. This is hard to describe, but I got into it and would enjoy reading more in the series. There are a couple of different threads going, but the stakes are much higher than our investigator Aimée Leduc realizes. Most of the action is set in the Marais, a heavily Jewish section of Paris which contains the lovely Place des Vosges. Aimée is half French and half American and earns her keep as an investigator.. of corporate crimes, internet stuff... so didn't have the background to suddenly be in the middle of a murder... with connections to Occupied Paris during the Second World War as well as the immediate political future of France. Any more and too much will be given away!
After trying to send this off to the only person who had it on the WIsh List and not receiving answers, I was ready to wild release it, but my daughter will enjoy this, so I am sending it off to her! Bonne lecture, ma petite!
