This book is from the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, who infuses his work with a sense of an imaginative and adventerous world. The Redwall series is an imaginative romp through a world populated by animals who act like humans, with action primarily focusing on Redwall abbey, an abbey inhabited by mice, badgers, hares, and the like .I have always especially loved his feast scenes – they seem to go on for pages and always make my mouth water! A wonderful challenging book for older children and young teens, and a good read for adults as well.. I have long enjoyed these books, but it's time to set them free!
