the book tells such a sad honest story. you have to admire the author for not glossing over the details that show him to be a normal young man doing a difficult job, sometimes lazy, thoughtless, and shallow, although those parts are also pretty boring. didn't need to be 375 pages long. notwithstanding those complaints, it's a touching story and worth reading.
