Babyville

Read this years ago and it was mildly entertaining. The subject matter isn't really my thing, but Jane Green is an entertaining writer, so it wasn't too bad in the end. :D
From the backflap:
"Julia and Martk are stuck in a loveless relationship. Julia thinks a baby will help, but perhaps that isn't the answer to her problems...
Maeve is totally allergic to commitment - she breaks out in a rash whenever she passes a buggy. A one-night stand results in an unwanted pregnancy, but just how unwanted is it?
Samantha is besotted with her baby. But how is Chris, her husband, coping with his suddenly unavailable wife, and is Samantha's obsession as healthy as it seems?"

I'm taking this book to Berlin with me to hand it over to aunt-sophie!
Rapturina gave me this book when we met two weeks ago in Berlin and I haven't had the opportunity to journal it until now... I tried to start it on my way back home today, but I realized the baby topic doesn't appeal to me at all, so I gave up. I have been curious to read some Jane Green for a while, that's why I wanted to check this book out, but well... I'll try other books by her! Thanks for bringing it to me anyway!
Offered as an international bookray.

Got the book today! It's next in line to be read, after I'll have finished my other bookray and another book I'm currently reading. I'll post again when I'll be done with the book.
Thanks aunt-sophie for sharing this book :)

Well, not a bad read... Finished this book yesterday and I found it quite interesting and funny when it was necessary. As we can guess, the subject is babies and we follow the story of 3 women, one expecting a baby, another wanting one and the 3rd not so wanting one, even if faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Overall, Jane Green is a good writer, somehow I could understand a little the characters as I have friends who have kids. A nice chicklit and I'm keen to read more books by this author.
I've PM'ed MicheleReads and waiting to get her address so the book can continue its journey!
**update**: I've mailed the book to MicheleReads today, Nov 13th, by airmail.

Journal Entry 15 by Shelly3110 from Newcastle, New South Wales Australia on Thursday, February 28, 2008
The book arrived safely in Australia today, thanks to a fellow Aussie Bokwormy living in Portugal. I've been wanting to read some Jane Green for a while now and not got around to it. I will start reading this as soon as I finish reading my current bookray. Looks as though I'm last on the list for this bookray, I will journal when I'm finished reading it and then try to get some more bookcrossers to continue the ray. Thanks aunt-sophi for sharing.
