From the cover...
Mathilda Gillespies body was found nearly two days after she had taken an overdose and slashed her wrists with a stanley knife. But what shocked Dr Sarah Blakeney the most was the scolds bridle obscuring the dead womans face,a metal contraption grotesquely adorned with a garland of nettles and Michaelmas daisies. What happened at Cedar House in the tortured hours before Mathildas death?`
I bought this book at Scarthins book shop in Cromford,Derbyshire. I have read and enjoyed this book in the past so bought this copy to put in a bookbox that i have at the moment.

I saw this book in the Crime book box and it brought back memories of having read the book not too long ago.
My review at that time was:
While it is a very dark story, Walters does write in such a way that you just HAVE to know what is going to happen next and what the final outcome is, always good for a thriller! The only thing to let it down (for me), is that it is a little too long in parts, with the convoluted plot line just losing the plot, coming back on track just in the nick of time to sustain my interest. I found this particularly towards the end - maybe she should have just made it a little shorter? Or maybe I was just too tired for all the twists and turns!! All in all, however, a really good read.
I'm leaving it in the book box to continue its travels, however I thought I'd make a journal entry for it so I could see what other people think of it, if any other journal entries are made!

My first and favourite MW book. I've grabbed this copy from the bookbox, to RABCK someone who RABCK'd me last year. I'm sorry it's taken so long, but I hope this one is worth the wait!
Received from Sunlightbub as an RABCK for one's sent to her and her sis last year! How Fun!!! Thanks!
Just finished one by Minette Walters a couple weeks ago, and loved it! Can't wait to start this one!
