from amazon:
'Round-heeled': an old-fashioned epithet for a promiscuous woman of easy virtue. A surprising way for a respectable and mature English teacher to describe herself, but then that's just one of the many surprises to be found in this funny, poignant and unique memoir. Jane Juska, a smart, energetic divorcee of a certain age, decides one day she has been celibate too long, and places a personal ad in The New York Review of Books. The response is overwhelming, and as her ad made it clear that she wasn't expecting just hand-holding, her dates went from first base to the full monty in record time.

I picked this up last week at the London meet up but have only just managed to find 5 minutes in front of the computer to add an entry, and in the meantime I have read the book!

I picked it up as I heard so much about this book and wanted to know what everyone was talking about.

It is an interesting read and I am impressed by her attitude, however I did find an awful lot of the book was about her past as oppposed to her present activities, so was a little disappointed that the advebtures weren't quite as extensive as first impressions gave.

Still worth reading.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I wanted to read this because of all the hype, and too be honest I am not sure it really lived up to it. It was worth reading but not as 'daring' as the hype made out.

Taking to the meetup this evening.
