I found this book at the library on a day they were giving books away! I've been wanting to read it for years. I thought I'd eventually borrow it from the library but now here's a copy to enjoy and leave for someone else to find.

Many people I know (and don't know, like carbuster) have recommended this book to me so I am especially looking forward to reading it.

This book would be excellent for high school students. It provokes some interesting thoughts. There are a few things that are either out of date or inaccurate. There are national and international organizations which promote birth control and distribute birth control products as well. Quinn states there are many charities that are concerned with feeding the hungry but not with keeping the hungry from multiplying.

I enjoyed the way Quinn dissects the human condition.

Jim told me he really liked this book, but he either didn't notice the bookcrossing label and bookmark, or decided not to play, since he returned Ishmael to me. I thought maybe one of his friends would like this book, too. I hear folks are coming from all parts of the globe to help Jim celebrate his 50th year. Cheers to Jim!
