I liked this book! Tells the tale of a young woman's investigation into a strange mystery that goes back for centuries and figures into her own ancestral past. Very well researched and it shows in the rich detail. Much of the novel is in the format of very detailed letters, which fits into the theme of academia (primary sources are best ;). Definite page-turner. Vampire mythology figures strongly in the novel but it is NOT horror genre...I'd describe it as history/mystery/thriller/love story.
