From the blurb:
"In 1982 the American scholar Charles Hapgood made an astonishing claim to a young librarian - that civilisation was almost 100,000 years old, and that he had evidence to prove it. But before he could substantiate these remarkable assertions, Hapgood was tragically killed in a car crash."
Colin Wilson and Flem-Ath set out to find the truth of this claim visiting the world's most sacred sites: Stonehenge, the Great Pyramids, Machu Picchu and others. Presenting its argument with "enormous persuasiveness", this book claims that our civilisation is not the first to occupy the planet - nor isit likely to be the last...
Um. Okey-dokey.
Perhaps best enjoyed with a pinch of salt!

Proving that Cambridge is a very small town....
Just gone to the Haddon library to try and write my essay for my arch. course when I spied this... My first 'wild' capture. Little did I know that it was left by BookGroupMan! Ah, well. I'll read it and put it back - perhaps in the Haddon next time!
