This is the second Ngaio Marsh book I've read -- both were OK in an Agatha Christie kind of way, where you can pretty much tell who the bad guys are. Only _Last Ditch_ didn't have the twist ending that I've come to expect from Christie, or the romance subplot. Also, all the "we're bad but not the killer" plots didn't get tied up as neatly as I would've liked. Still, a pleasant enough time-killer.
