Sicily!!!

I like to read something about Italy, may it be Sicily or may it be Friuli. I like to read about hidden towns or villages, however I like to see also the general idea of the book. Somehow I have the impression the author was not sure, why she wrote the book (money reasons?), so she just threw in some episodes and stirred them to make some kind of a book out of it.
I would have liked it better if she would have mixed personal stories about villages with her experience when being there, but this was not the case. The jumps in time and location were irritating for me and didn't help to score higher than the 6 stars... anyhow, a book about Italy or parts of it cannot be completely bad for me :-)
