Gita Mehta is one of those incredible authors that make me want to get my hands on every single thing she's ever written. This book depicts the story of a noble family during the time of British India, and weaves a lot of nineteen and twentieth-century history into the telling. Like India itself, the book is resplendent and rich with detail.
