Picked up from March Truro Reader's Group

This was ok but not exactly riveting. I learnt some more history of time of this book 1830's Chile and the Gold Rush. I could have given up on this but perservered..and the ending was somewhat weak for me. The information on another culture kept me going I think but not much else. I was told this wasn't one of her best...

Thank you very much celticseahorse, the book arrived safely this morning.

This is my second Isabel Allende and I loved it. She's obviously done meticulous research for this story and it shows. I thought the story was absorbing and finished the book in a few days. The only flaw with this book is the ending, it just seems to stop abruptly.
