This book left as many questions unanswered as answered. It gave a sinister insight into a dark and strange world. So many opportunities for Natascha it would seem to end her ordeal. Why as smart and manipulative as she is portrayed did she endure it? Given her silence will we ever know.

A shocking read, particularly given recent events in Austria. What is it that leads some human beings to behave in such a despicable way?
Although this is an interesting book, I did find that a lot of it was quite repetitive and very much based on conjecture because Natascha was not involved in its production. By the end I found myself agreeing with one of the individuals quoted - 'I think she should be left in peace. I hope she can find a normal life.'
