found this on the buffet table, along with another of Lewis's work, October Song. I have never read her books but have wanted to for a while, as I find the Amish culture intriguing. After checking Amazon, it seems like October Song is not for beginners so I am leaving that one and keeping this. Hope I'll like it.

Sorry it has sat so long on my shelf but once I started it's a fast read. I enjoyed it a lot, though I doubt it would be nearly as much if not for the Amish culture. It is the story of Abram's family, mostly his two elder daughters, Sadie and Leah, who are coming to age and falling in love.

I look forward to the rest of the series, to know what will happen to the family.
