From the back of the book:

The magical new novel from the number 1 bestselling author of "PS, I Love You", "Love, Rosie" (also published as "Rosie Dunne" or "Where Rainbows End"), and "If You Could See Me Now".

Since Sandy Shortt's childhood schoolmate disappeared twenty years ago, Sandy has been obsessed with missing things. Finding becomes her goal - whether it's the odd sock that vanished in the washing machine, the car keys she misplaced in her rush to get to work or the graver issue of finding the people who vanish from their lives. Sandy dedicates her life to finding these missing people, offering devastated families a flicker of hope.

Jack Ruttle is one of those desperate people. It's been a year since his brother, Donal vanished into thin air and the sleepless nights and frantic days aren't getting any easier. Thinking Sandy Shortt could well be the answer to his prayers, he embarks on a quest to find her.

But, when Sandy goes missing too, her search ends when she stumbles upon the place - and people - she's been looking for all of her life. A world away from her loved ones and the home she ran from for so long, Sandy soon resorts to her old habit again, searching. Though this time, she is desperately trying to find her way home!

I have really enjoyed Cecelia Ahern's other three books, and although this one wasn't quite as good as the first two, it was still wonderful! The premise of the story is a little unconventional, but if you open up your mind, you just may find yourself believing! :)

I ordered this book from the UK, as it will not be out in the US until summer 2007. Therefore, I'd like to share this book with other BookCrossers in the US by sending it on a Domestic BookRing so that others may enjoy it as well. I'm going to limit the Ring to the first 5 takers, and then I'll 'route' the book according to geography of those interested. I'll publish the routing-list as a journal entry and also on a post-it inside the book.

I look forward to hearing what my fellow BookCrossers think about the story!

This book was definately different, and not what I've come to expect from Ahern. My first thought when Sandy arrived in "Here" was oh...she's in Brigadoon, the magical town that only exists to those who believe. Further along in the book I felt there was a lesson to be learned about letting go of things you cannot control and accepting/enjoying life as it is.
Thank you BethanieKay for allowing me to participate in this bookring. I have emailed Bokwormy for her address and am waiting for a reply so it can be enjoyed by her.

Although the plot is unusual, I found it an excellent and interesting read.
This book had it all mystery, romance & fantasy! After a few pages I couldn’t put it down.

Cecelia Ahern has a huge imagination, as you will be able to confirm by reading this novel :)

Thank-YOU once again BethanieKay for sharing this one with me :)

Journal Entry 19 by momofap from Sheldon, Iowa USA on Monday, June 25, 2007
This storyline was haunting. At times I could believe there was a place where "lost" people and things go. I truely believe that the character, Sandy, was not crazy. Sometimes I felt that Gregory put space between him and Sandy just so he did not have to deal with life. I found this quote comforting, "Sometimes we prefer to be lost and wandering, sometimes it's easier. Sometimes we find our own way out. But regardless always, we are found." This storyline will be stored for quite awhile in my brain and that stick-to-you is one of the reasons I enjoy reading this author.

Sadly, I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as Ahern's "P.S. I Love You". This book was strange, and I don't feel that all my questions as a reader were answered.

Thank you for sharing, BethanieKay. I have the next reader's address, and I'll mail it before I leave saturday.

Journal Entry 26 by spoiledrotten from Waldwick, New Jersey USA on Tuesday, October 9, 2007
Arrived safely in NJ today along with another ring. Will read as fast as I can. Thanks again Beth for including me and thanks to AuburnCaMom for sending.

10/19/07 Finished this last night and will mail off this week. This is the first book I have read by this author and I must say I really enjoyed it. I found it to be a very "different" story line and made me stop & think about things (and people) that are lost. Thanks again Beth for including me and opening my world to a new author. Will journal again as soon as it is mailed out.

10/23/07 book was sent out today to starbrightxx!!!
Enjoy.

Journal Entry 27 by BethanieKay from Melbourne, Florida USA on Friday, February 15, 2008
After weeks of this book not getting a journal entry last October when spoiledrotten mailed it to starbrightxx, and after continued lack of response from starbrightxx, I eventually mailed her a letter to ask her if she had this book in her possession or not (as well as another bookring book of mine that she has had since August 2007).

Starbrightxx emailed me back that she did have this book (and my other book)and that due to medical/money issues, she hadn't been mailing books (although, she apparently had enough time to allow people to continue to send HER more books), and that she would mail them along soon.

That was MONTHS ago, and still no books. I have a very strong suspicion that she has stolen this book (along with multiple books from other BCers) and that I will never see it again. This ANGERS me, as this book was an original, with UK artwork, and I really wanted it to come back to me for my PC.

I am going to see if I can get another copy of the book to continue the bookring.

REPLACEMENT BOOK FOUND!

A huge thanks to ACE-W in the UK for graciously trading with me and sending me a copy of this book. I can now continue this bookring!

Click here to visit the journal for the replacement book and to keep track of what future readers have to say about the story :)

Book will be sent along to the next reader in the bookring soon, and hopefully I'll get more readers so this cute little pink book can travel and see the world!

Journal Entry 29 by lostbookisland on Sunday, May 11, 2008
This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island.

All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.

It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
