Journal Entry 1 by BethanieKay from Fort Worth, Texas USA on Friday, February 23, 2007
From naughty children to rebellious teenagers, Rosie and Alex have stuck by each other through thick and thin. But just as as they're discovering the joys of teenage nights on the town and dating disasters, they're separated. Alex's family move from Dublin to America - and Alex goes with them. For good.

Rosie's lost without him. But on the eve of her departure to join Alex in Boston, Rosie gets news that will change her life forever - and keep her at home in Ireland.

Their magical connection sees them through the ups and downs of each others lives, but neither of them knows whether their friendship can survive the years and miles - or new relationships. And at the back of Rosie's mind is whether they were meant to be more than just good friends all along. Misunderstandings, circumstances and sheer bad luck have kept them apart, but when presented with the ultimate opportunity, will they gamble everything for true love?

Journal Entry 2 by BethanieKay from Fort Worth, Texas USA on Friday, February 23, 2007
Originally published as "Rosie Dunne", "Love, Rosie" is Cecelia Ahern's second book, which I found to be as funny and heartwarming as her first novel ("PS, I Love You"). The entire story is told through correspondence such as letters, emails, and IM's. At first, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy reading a story without traditional dialogue ... but after just a bit, I became used to it and the story amazingly flowed right along.

This is one of my favorite books, so I'd like to send this on an International BookRing so that others may enjoy it as well. I'm going to limit the Ring to the first 5 takers, and then I'll 'route' the book according to geography of those interested. I'll publish the routing-list as a journal entry and also on a post-it inside the book.

I look forward to hearing what my fellow BookCrossers think about the story and the way in which it was written!

Love, Rosie arrived in the mail yesterday. I can't wait to read it, Cecelia Ahern is one of my favourite authors, thanks BethanyKay!

Journal Entry 6 by boomda181 on Friday, March 23, 2007
Due to some computer technical difficulties I was not able to journal this book right away. I am very sorry for my delay. I have however read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Truthfully I had many moments where I laughed out loud and moments where I cried right along with Rosie Dunne (or my favourite, Rosie Bumme). Although it was very predictable in its ending, I loved it! It is nice to feel comfort in an ending! Thanks BethanyKay for turning this into a ring! It will be sent on to the next bookcrosser as soon as I have an address.

Journal Entry 7 by oi-reader from Toledo, Ohio USA on Tuesday, April 03, 2007
Love, Rosie arrived safely today. Am looking forward to starting it this weekend. Thanks :)

Journal Entry 8 by oi-reader from Toledo, Ohio USA on Sunday, April 08, 2007
Thanks BethanyKay for allowing me to participate. I have to say, this was my least favorite of Cecelia Ahren's books that I have read. To me Rosie came off as a bit of a flake, just floating through life, often blind and complaining but not willing to take action. Have pm'd momofap for her address and will be releasing asap.

Journal Entry 9 by oi-reader from Toledo, Ohio USA on Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Journal Entry 11 by momofap from Sheldon, Iowa USA on Tuesday, May 08, 2007
This was such a touching story. I enjoyed every minute I spent with it, and was sad on the days when I could not find time to read it. This author has a style of writing that makes her readers feel like her characters are your friends. I would of liked to know a little bit more about the characters: Kevin and John. Did Kevin just use his sister to get ahead in life? Was John really "in love" with Katie? Will seek out other books written by this author. I will send this book on as soon as I have an address for the next person on the ring.

This book is on its way to the next person on the list. It was MEDIA MAILED today!

Journal Entry 13 by BethanieKay from Fort Worth, Texas USA on Sunday, July 22, 2007
Well, after 2 months in the hands of the USPS, I'm afraid that this book has been lost in the mail :( In the spirit of keeping my bookring going, I have purchased a new copy of this book (Yay for Half-Price Books!) and am going to send it off to the next reader in the ring tomorrow. Hopefully the postal service won't let us down twice in one bookring! :)

Happy Reading!

BOOKRING STALLED ... BUT NEW BOOK FOUND

Ok, so after over a YEAR of repeated/fruitless attempts to contact vicki9170, I would say that this book is officially lost/stolen. I don't know if it was ever sent to LadyIndigo in Australia, but it was definitely never received ... so I'm getting a new book and will continue this bookring. Checking with my ring participants now to make sure everyone is still interested!

Received in mail today.

I will start reading this over the weekend -- we're expecting lots of snow, so I'll curl up with this book, my mug of hot chocolate, and my favorite fleece blanket. ;-)

Thank you, BethanieKay, for including me in this BookRing!

Journal Entry 24 by surmisez from Worcester, Massachusetts USA on Saturday, January 17, 2009
I apologize that it's taken me so long to finish reading this book. I really liked the email/letter/IM format -- it was kinda neat and it was different.

However, the story frustrated me beyond belief. I had to keep putting it down because the characters (Rosie and Alex) about drove me to drink.

Thank you BethanieKay, for including me in your BookRing.

PM'ing spoiledrotten for her address.

Finished this last night and I did enjoy it although at times I found it a little tiresome. What I really liked was the format it was written in, emails and letters. Thanks so much for sending this to me and Bethaniekay for getting a replacement copy. I will journal when it goes out in the mail (hopefully this morning).
