In this book Johnny gets involved with the dead people at a cemetery which the local council wants to sell to an office building company. Johnny is the only one who can see the dead people and is therefore chosen as a spokesman for them in the protests.

I think I had my Terry Pratchett dose after the first one, because I never got into this one. Halfway through I gave up, my mind went elsewhere every time I tried to read it. Six month later I decided to finish it, and so I did. I found it a bit annoying, actually.
"It dawned on Johnny that when a ghost /.../ jumped into the water, the ghost didn't get wet, the water got ghostly" – sure, it's a funny and smart sentence, but when they all are, I don't appreciate them anymore

Wow, Johnny Maxwell came to Kerava and is going to spend Easter here. I guess he will be continuing his travels soon after Easter. Thank you for the book, Adeps!

I have always liked friendly ghost stories and I like this one, too. The dead say they are no ghosts, but what are they then? Breath challenged? When I started my present career, the blind were blind. Then they became visually impaired. Now they are visually challenged. And soon...? The words change but the hard and challenging facts remain.

I have only read one adult book by Terry Prachet some years ago, so I did not have my TP dose, yet. This book got me smile many times. The book will continue its travels as soon as I get the address.
Thanks for the book, Adeps!

This is my #15 for the Keep Them Moving Challenge arranged by Guinaveve.

I thought this book was much better then "Only you can save mankind". Maybe I can relate to this subject more then computer games... Really looking forward to get the last book now!

I will send the book to Lottiotta tomorrow (21/5).

I still prefer the Discworld books, but I loved this one. :) PMing Wickedlazy for an address, and I will post it on as soon as I can.

Thanks very much, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

24th May 2007
Sent on either yesterday or today, I can't remember which, but it's definitely gone! :P

This was much better than the first one - Johnny is starting to have a bit of a personality now. Bigmac is my favorite character though. The Dead were very nice people as well.

I think I will hang onto this one till the next one comes and I will send them both off together - they only take a couple of hours to read so it can stay for just a day a chez Wicky :)

Arrived yesterday. Postage date was 14th July, so Royal Mail must have put in a real effort on these! Looking forward to reading them. Thanks for the extra goodies, wickedlazy:)

Thanks for sharing, adeps:)

Sorry for taking so long to journal, time has been going at warp speed in my house recently!

Enjoyable. I also still prefer the Discworld series, but as it's a Terry Pratchett, I loved it anyway!
