While I've always had a suspicion Rushdie is a bad, bad writer I finally gave this "booker of bookers" book a try. Easily one of the *worst* books I've ever read through to the end. Terrible. Tragically bad and so *desperately* _trying_ to be a major novel.
Sadly, in this world, trying is often achieving. And rewarded.
