Suprise to Lginder
Suprise to Lginder
A book box full of "wished books" - how fun! It was a very nice surprise to find this wonderful box on my front porch this morning!! Thanks! Now which one do I read first ...
This is so not the book I thought it was going to be! Not laugh out loud funny like the cover said at all. A good book though dealing with Alzheimers and what this one daughter ends up doing for her mom. Book ended quite abruptly as I thought it would have covered her death but I guess the author thought you could figure out where it was headed? Very interesting book topic and one I hope I never have to either endure as a patient or as a caregiver.
Thanks so much for fullfilling my wish to read this!

Releasing into my "Trade Sized Women's Fiction Book Box"
Picked out of Lginder's Women's Box. The title was just too interesting to pass up.
I really enjoyed this book. The first half of the book is written more humorously than the second half (which is appropriate given the subject matter). I've had a couple of family members who have suffered from this disease and much of what is in this book was pretty true to life as far as my family members were concerned.
Here's a part that I thought was particularly beautifully written:
She's like a forgotten passenger at some bus stop, waiting for somebody to come get her and take her home, but she just doesn't trust anybody to really go to the trouble. -- page 186
I'll be passing this along soon!
