FROM THE BACK:
"Jay Mackintosh is trapped by memory in the old familiar landscape of his childhood, more enticing than the present, and to which he longs to return. A bottle of home-brewed wine left to him by a long-vanished friend seems to provide both the key to an old mystery and a doorway into another world. As the unusual properties of the strange brew takes effect, Jay escapes to a derelict farmhouse in the French village of Lansquenet, where a ghost from the past waits to confront him, and the reclusive Marise - haunted, lovely and dangerous - hides a terrible secret behind her closed shutters. Between them, a mysterious chemistry. Or could it be magic?"

Received today (30/04/07). Thanks heaps for your generosity froggirlwendy. How did you know I had run out of good books tor ead?? hehehe. Will pass onto BellaMack as soon as I've finished.
Maybe there was something in the water. Perhaps there was something in the sea. Or maybe this wee little book just wasn't meant for me...
..I tried and tried and tried, but I found I kept skipping pages here and there. The original idea was quite captivating - imagine, a bottle of wine conversing with the reader. I was quite excited about this prospect, but somehow, the narration changed and the moo just lost interest in the book. I have a feeling you have to set aside some time and just sit and read this book through and through to really enjoy it. I have a whole lot of books coming through and as I don't want to hold this ring up, I am going to send to BellaMack once I find out her addy...again. :P
Many thanks to froggirlwendy again for her gorgeous generosity. We wuv u! xxx :)
