I loved this book! I think I liked it better than Wicked, but it's awful close! "Confessions" gives us a whole different viewpoint of the Cinderella story!

Just got this in the mail. I am so excited to be the first in the bookring. I have two books in front of it but that just means I'll start sometime in the middle of next week after my book club reads are done.

I finished this book tonight and I have to say, I really enjoyed reading it. The characters were well written with depth and understanding of who they could have been in reality. The story is told from Iris' narration with the twist at the end making it all so much more powerful. I actually liked the stepsisters more than cinderella which I believe was the point of the book. They seemed more real and full of life. Although, I'm not sure if anyone of them got their fairy tale ending---maybe in some way.

A great rewriting or reinventing of a great fairy tale. I really enjoyed reading it even though you know what happens in the end! LOL!

I've packed up the book and will drop if off to the post office tomorrow during lunch. I can't wait to see what others think of this book. Thanks ivylibra224 for starting this ring.

Sorry it didn't go out till March 28, 2007--work has been crazy.

This book is on it's way to the next person on the list. I liked this book more than Wicked. Wicked was too political and at times boring, whereas this book made me want to keep reading it to see what happened.

Just got this in the mail today. Will be starting it within the week. I'm nearing the end of the book I'm reading now. I'm anxious to read it since everyone in the ring so far has really enjoyed it.

Journal Entry 8 by passiontoread from Coopersburg, Pennsylvania USA on Friday, April 27, 2007
I just finished the book this morning. Having read the book Wicked, I think I enjoyed this one more. Even though I could tell how it would end, it had some twists that were enjoyable. I have to apologize though, my puppy got hold of a little bit of the corner. Thanks ivylibra224 for sharing this book. I've contacted moonbeam056 and have gotten the address and will send the book off next week.

Arrived safely in Pawleys yesterday and I'm already 100 pages in. I'll go ahead and get the address for the next participant. It shouldn't be long before it's on its way again. Thanks so much for sharing!

This wasn't exactly what I expected, but I really enjoyed it. It was a wonderful book and a unique and interesting take on the Cinderella story. It held my interest all the way through. It was nice the see the stepsister portrayed as three-dimensional characters for a change.
For anyone who liked this book and is interested in other interesting versions of Cinderella, I'd recommend you also read "Phoenix and Ashes" by Mercedes Lackey.
Thanks so much for sharing this book, ivylibra224. I have the address for geniedances and will get this in the mail tomorrow.

Home at last! I must say it's a little more worn and much loved, but that only adds to my joy that so many more have enjoyed this book. Even the place where it was chewed by a puppy adds character! I'm glad you all enjoyed this book and thank you for making my first book ring a successful one!
