Just picked up yesterday :) will be reading and then putting into a spiral

From Booklist
According to the publisher, this title marks "one last, glorious summer" for the traveling pants, and it's a time of changing identities and growing independence for the Sisterhood. As they discover new talents after their first year of college, the girls face increasingly grown-up dilemmas: an unwanted-pregnancy scare, crushes on married men, malicious co-workers, and questions about how to know if a love is lasting. By summer's end, each realizes that, with or without the pants, she is confident, talented, and lucky to share in such a nurturing lifelong friendship. A strong, satisfying conclusion that won't disappoint fans.

The last book - so sad that it is over. it is the best book out of all of them in my opinion. the girls have really come into their own in this book. a few parts seemed unrealistic (mostly towards the end) ....i don't want to give too much of it away though. i also feel that brashares has evolved as a writer.

It has arrived, I'm so happy :-)
I'm going to read it during the weekend so I can send it to the next person on Monday.
Sweetybeans, please let me know to whom should I send the book. Thanks!

Journal Entry 6 by fflloorr on Wednesday, March 21, 2007
Spoiler alert

I loved this book as much as the previous ones :-)
Although there is one little thing that I don't like, that moral lesson every time one of the girls has sex for the first time or is thinking of it. There was the same thing on the other books.

Already sent it to heartsong2. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 7 by heartsong2 on Tuesday, April 3, 2007
Arrived today all the way from Portugal! Thank you! I look forward to reading this. I recently heard a podcast where Ann Brashares talks about this book and about how the girls are growing up...

Journal Entry 8 by heartsong2 on Thursday, April 5, 2007
At first, I thought the story was awkward, but then by the end it was flowing and it made me sad. Brings me back to the days when I was parting ways with my highschool friends and how life WAS awkward and you had to figure out how to relate again. I STILL find myself having to figure out how to relate again. With LOVE, anything is possible.

I have msjoanna's address and will mail on Saturday. Thank you so much sweetybeans for sharing these books. I've really enjoyed them.

Journal Entry 9 by heartsong2 on Saturday, April 7, 2007
Posting this AM to msjoanna! Enjoy!

Journal Entry 10 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Friday, April 13, 2007
Arrived today in NYC. Sadly I won't be able to start this right away as I have to work all weekend. It's on the list for next weekend though. Looking forward to concluding the series. It's been great to read them in quick succession -- I remember each book clearly as I start the next one.

Journal Entry 11 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Monday, April 23, 2007
I enjoyed this end to the series. I thought the characters continued development was well done. I agree with the earlier comment that the sort of moralistic storming that occurred every time one of the girls either had sex or considered it was predictable, but I didn't find it unrealistic. I remember having very mixed feelings at that age about becoming sexually active, and the panic attack about pregnancy seemed realistic for the age/experience level of the character.

I've put this in the mail to Smurphie today, but the book was quite heavy, so I had to send it surface mail rather than airmail. It should arrive in 3-4 weeks.

It's here! I'm really looking forward to this book, as I loved the first three books of the series. I have a few other rings here at the moment, but I'm pretty sure I'll get to this one quickly, so it won't take too long hopefully. :D

Journal Entry 16 by rapturina from Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland Netherlands on Thursday, July 19, 2007
Well, that was quick, I started reading this book yesterday and finished it today. I did the same with the other three books. :D

Anyway, I am sad that the series is over now as I really liked these books. They're just very well written and the story flows along nicely and it remains interesting, though somewhat predictable in some parts. I can't really say what exactly it is I liked about these books, but I just enjoy them a lot. :D I can identify very well with what these girls are going through, even though I'm almost ten years older than they are. The things they're going through might be specific for a certain time in your life, but I think the accompanying feelings and confusion are pretty much universal and resurface at other times and occasions, so I suppose that's the strength of these books, for me at least.

Now on to another end of a series: Harry Potter 7. Seems to be a week of series ending for me. :D

I have collectorkerri's address and will send the book on when I get paid next week.

Journal Entry 17 by rapturina from Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland Netherlands on Friday, July 27, 2007
Sent to collectorkerri on July 27th. Happy travels! :D

Like rapturina, I also read the book in a day. I thought it was an apt ending to the series. When I heard that there would be a fourth book, I was a little skeptical, as the third ended so well. But Brashares handled the fourth book well and tied up the loose ends, for the most part. Although I'd be interested in what happens in Lena's future...

Sent to Rrrcaron today.

Journal Entry 20 by Rrrcaron from Lancaster, New Hampshire USA on Monday, October 8, 2007
Received this in the mail on Friday. I didn't even realize this book existed, let alone be on the list to read it. I'll do my best to get to it as soon as I can.

I'm kind of sad that this is really over now, the saga of the pants ends.( I thought that when I finished the last one.)The ending was great. It took the disappearance of the pants to bring them all truly together again, and that was fitting, no pun intended, lol. I'm so grateful I had the chance to read this set of books. Thanks for sharing. It will be on the move again tomorrow. Happy new Year!

I loved this book. It was the best of the whole bunch. I will miss the Septembers very much. Maybe Brashares will give us a peek into their adult lives a few years down the road without the pants! Pm'ing the next on the list.

I liked the first couple of books in the series better. It feels like the girls' personalities are sort of disappearing. I believe there may be one more book in this series, and I think I'll be glad when it's finished.
