Just finished reading this book and it did not disappoint me. It was quite a funny book, although the author, Jill Mansell, has a lot of compassion for her characters. The main character, Suzy Curtis, was funny and lovable. One of the things that I liked about her was that she was a size 14 and very fond of eating fattening food. But she was also very attractive and had no problem attracting man. However, in this book, she has attracted the wrong man. She is in love with his older brother, but the younger brother has a big inferiority complex when compared to his older brother and it makes for a lot of complications that eventually get sorted out by the end of the book.

A good bit of chick lit fluff! I needed to read some escapism after so many heart rendering books I've read lately. Thanks for sending tabby-cat-owner--it was a fun read! Also loved the characters--well maybe with the exception of Celeste, lol. :) Have pmed thescreaming for addy and will be sending to MD soon.

This arrived in the mail today, which is great because I had just finished reading a book about two hours before it was delivered. I can't wait to get into this, I have yet to read a Mansell book that I didn't love.

11/10/2007 - I haven't had time to read this yet, we have been given mandatory overtime at work so my reading time has been nothing. I should be able to start it tomorrow. So sorry for having it for so long.

Finally! I'm done!

I think this was my least favorite of the Mansell books that I've read. The ending was just too Mills & Boon for me. She is still a terrific writer.

PMing kera to pass it on; will probably get it mailed out next Friday.

Another enjoyable Jill Mansell read :)

As I am the last person on this ray I am sending this book on as a RABCK to another bookcrosser in Portugal to keep the book travelling. Safe Journey!

Journal Entry 14 by Fantasma from Carnaxide, Lisboa (distrito) Portugal on Friday, January 11, 2008
Wow, I wasn't expecting this book, was I? My head is a mess lately so I wouldn't be surprised if I had forgotten :oP
Thanks so much, Kera, I've enjoyed everything I've read by Jill Mansell so far, and a long travelling book!

"Love is always just around the corner in a Jill Mansell novel - with a few surprises and a lot of humour on the way to happiness Suzy fell for Harry the moment she showed him her husband's sperm sample. It didn't really belong to her husband, though, because she wasn't married. It wasn't a sperm sample either, it was a drinks carton containing the dregs of her milkshake. But when you're trying to get off a speeding charge you just have to improvise, don't you? And it wasn't actually love at first sight. Still, it was undeniably a healthy attack of lust..."
