Another Nick Earls book - local author I haven't read yet but heard lots about so I'm looking forward to reading this, thanks blue1236.

So it took me 12 years to get round to reading this book. I'm not sure it was a good thing as it's hard to work out if it's the book that hasn't aged well or if it's me who's passed the book demographics, or possibly both! There were moments when it seemed the story was going to take off but, no, it never managed to grab me. Then again I'm not sure that reading a light story about the life and sex of a hospital intern in the middle of a pandemic is such a good idea either. I read it as part of the 2021 Goodreads "Read Around Australia" yearly book challenge and it was one of my 2 Queensland novels. It's now ready to leave my shelves at long last and travel again.
