Woman: An Intimate Geography

This book is chock full of interesting facts about the biology of females, written in a compelling, intelligent style.
My personal copy is hardcover (I bought it when it first came out, YAY) so I snagged this tradepaper version for a bookring. I am very interested to find out what other readers will think of this book. Sure it's not a quick happy read, but I believe that upon finishing, the reader will look at the female body with a newfound wonder and respect. How cool is that?

This book was a little too "scientific" for my taste, but I did enjoy it a whole lot more than I expected. Angier provided so much information about women's bodies and how they work, much more information than I already knew! It was very interesting! I learned a lot, and enjoyed reading a different kind of book than I'm used to.
I think if I would have become a writer, I would have wanted to write books like this. I enjoy the authors intimate tone that is filled with slang and education. The book opened my eyes to a subject I thought I knew all about---myself.
I thought I should update my entry now that I've finished reading the book. This is a great big ole book of knowledge about the woman, what that means and how that works. I'm a sucker for biology so I found this very interesting. I wish I had read this in school somewhere along the lines of growing up....it would have helped. I will pick up my own keep copy of this one to refer back to because there is no way I'm gonna remember all of that useful info. Good choice for nervousness ring.
3/12 Recieved in LAMO Nervousness exchange. Will add more after I review/read it.
