Quite a gripping story about obsession, love, and learning to love yourself. Beattie is trying unsuccessfully to compensate for a troubled childhood with a string of affairs with rich older men, and dreams of becoming a writer. When she meets Elizabeth, she responds instantly to the older woman's caring nature, and develops a crush that rapidly becomes a stalker-ish obsession. But is she really looking for a lover, or a mother?
