This is an advanced reader's copy/uncorrected proof that I picked up from work. I may read it before I release it because it looks like something I might like.
I just finished this book, and I enjoyed it. The subject matter (a quirky family), and the way it was told (biting first person narrative) called to mind David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs, although it wasn't as laugh out loud funny. I could identify with the narrator, a 30 year-old woman named Emily who's living in New York City as she tries to get her life together, struggling with her career, family, and romantic feelings.
This copy is the uncorrected proof- a sort of advanced preview- so if you get it you'll undoubtedly notice some errors in the text.
