This book had a good review in The Sunday Times - it is set in Cambodia. It has also received 5 stars on Amazon - so the signs are good that this novel will be good!!
I made it to page 130... I am not sure why I did not get into this. I liked the setting of Cambodia, that was different, and I am now inspired to visit Angkor Wat. Perhaps it was the interweaving of the story of the King, and his (presumed) message of tolerance, with the modern tale that got me. I think my mood started to change which is why I stopped reading it. Something about the voice of the narrator grated.
And I have so many books to read, this is reason enough to stop and move on to something else!
I will release this book into the wild - I hope whoever finds it, enjoys it, and finds the Bookcrossing experience to be as addictive as me!!
