A really enjoyable thriller. Medical Examiner Maura Isles looks down at what she thought was just another body of a woman on the mortuary slab when all of a sudden the body opens it's eyes! The woman is rushed to the hospital where detective Jane Rizzoli is about to have her baby. The woman murders a security guard and then holds a number of people hostage, including the detective, but everything is not quite what it seems.
A really terrific read and the character of Jane Rizzoli is a far more interesting and complex character than Maura Isles but I like them both.

As always - Tess Gerritsen writes very good. However, I have read some better books from her. Although the story was veryinteresting, the different steps were a bit forseeable and the tension was not as much as in her other books.
