The Tea House on Mulberry Street
9 journalers for this copy...
Daniel Stanley might make the most glorious desserts in Ireland but he won't support his wife Penny's desire to have at least one bun in the oven. And the owners of Muldon's tea Rooms aren't the only ones hoping for a change.
A couple of their customers are dreaming of a better life are they willing to face the possiblity that you can't always have your cake and eat it?

Received today - can't wait to start it and enjoy the chocolate! Thanks, Smurphie!!
Yum! This book is almost as good as the cocoa! Thanks Smurphie for starting this ring. I enjoy reading Maeve Binchy and this story full of well developed characters is very similar in style. Contacting iwanttobeinital for address to move it along.
Moving along to Iwanttobeinital on May 29 - enjoy!
Arrived safely in Italy!!
Gosh Smurphie is that not your house (castle) then on the postcard ?? 8-))

Really enjoyed this book, nice gentle & easy to read.
The characters were well painted and I could visualise them all easily.
Apologies I''ve had this so long - it has travelled to Scotland and back with me via France & Sicily but should soon be on its way to Portugal as Ive already PM''d boirina for an address.
Thanks for sharing & for the chocolate,Smurphie 8-))
The book got here safely today. :)
I really liked this book. An easy read, and you could understand why the characters acted like they did (most of them, at least).
So... madmadgessis has asked to be skipped and the book will leave for Smurphie in a few hours. :)
I guess that will be a finished bookring. :)
Thanks for sharing with us, Smurphie!

RELEASE NOTES:
Heading off to Canada as part of it's world travels.
I picked up this lovely little book from the Post Office this morning, so it has arrived safely in Canada. Thanks so very much again, Smurphie, for including me in this BookRing. I can't wait to start reading this one. The bookmark is wonderful by the way, and I'll treasure it. Crathes Castle and the gardens look beautiful ~ what a wonderful spot in the world to live!
Finally finished reading this lovely little book - - I'm sorry, Smurphie, that it's taken me longer than I anticipated. I have a new job at work and haven't had a lot of extra time to read in the past weeks. I really appreciate being sent this book and I'm so glad to have the opportunity to read it. Definitely one that was easy to curl up on the sofa with along with a cup of hot tea, especially now that winter and snowfalls have arrived in Canada! Nothing like having a good book and being warm & cosy inside on a cold winter day!
I'll be sending it back home to you in Scotland this week.
Arrived home safe and well today.
Thanks for the Bookmark and the Tea's much needed refreshment after a mad day at work.

This has been sat in my bookcase for over a decade and considering how much travelling it's done I felt I really should read it and get it back on it's travels!
It wasn't really my sort of thing but it was easy reading and it fitted in reading it around Christmas.

Indeed, not long on tbr this time as I have a plan for this well travelled book!
This is of the genre that a friend calls "warm fuzzies" which I seem to have read more of this last year of even longer Covid regulations! Still, nothing wrong with a warm hearted hug of a book when the occasion demands it.
Although this book is centred around a Tea House in Belfast, its owners and customers, the main characters are all trying to change their lives for the better in their own inimitable ways, some of which work and others which are not so effective - just like life! However, unlike life, the majority of the main characters seem to end up with an acceptable version what they wanted - but then it would not be a 'warm fuzzy' if they did not!
A warm and gentle read to curl up to with a suitable drink.
